Simple Fish Curry

Ingredients:
Fish pieces
Coriander powder
Spice Powder (garam masala powder)
Turmeric
Chilli powder
Onions chopped
Green chillies chopped
Salt
Ginger garlic paste
Oil

Method:
Marinate fish with salt, turmeric, chilli powder, spice powder, coriander powder and keep aside for 20 minutes. In a pan, heat oil add chopped onions and chillies, ginger garlic paste and fry well. Add the marinated chicken and a little water, cook for 7-8 minutes, garnish with coriander and serve with rice.

Fish Cutlet/ Fish Fingers

Ingredients:
Fish (boneless)
Onions chopped
Green Chillies chopped
Ginger garlic paste
Fresh coriander
Boiled, smashed potatoes
Eggs (beaten)
Bread crumbs
Salt
Oil for Frying

Method:
Boil the fish in a vessel. In a separate bowl add chopped onions, chillies, ginger garlic paste, coriander and salt. Mix well. Add the smashed potatoes and the boiled fish. Combine everything well. Make fingers out of the mixture, role in beaten eggs and then in bread crumbs; fry the fish fingers in oil. Serve with a chutney of your choice.

Quick Tangy Chicken Fry

Here is a quick chicken dry fry tangy dish that you and your kids are sure to relish!

Ingredients:
Chicken cut in medium sized pieces
Ginger garlic paste
Salt
Pepper powder
Cumin powder
Coriander powder
Turmeric
lemon juice/Vinegar

Method:
Clean and wash the chicken, then boil the pieces for about 7-8 minutes. Remove from heat, drain the water and allow it to cool a little. When still warm add the remaining ingredients except vinegar or lemon juice. Heat oil and add the chicken pieces, fry well for about 8-10 minutes, add the lemon juice/vinegar, stir well and serve hot.

Chicken Manchuria

Ingredients:
Chicken, cut in small bite size pieces
Refined Flour
Corn Flour
Tomato sauce
Soya sauce
Chilli powder
garlic chopped
Onion chopped
Green chillies
Salt

Method:
Smear salt on the chicken pieces and keep aside for at least half an hour. Make a batter of refined flour and corn flour, dip chicken in the batter and deep fry. Heat oil in a separate pan, add garlic, onion, and chopped green chillies. Fry till a little golden brown in color. Add chilli powder, salt, tomato sauce, soya sauce and the chicken pieces. Stir well add a few drops of water to make the chicken a little soft.

Wheat Laddu

Ingredients:
Wheat Flour - 1cup
Gram Flour - 1/4 cup
Sugar Powder - 1 and half cups
Grated Coconut - 1/4 cup
Dry fruits (almonds, raisins and cashews chopped) - 1/4 cup
Ghee (clarified butter) - 1cup

Method:
Heat ghee and add both the flours and roast for 2-4 minutes. Then add the coconut and dry fruits and roast some more. Add the powdered sugar and mix really well. Remove from heat and make small balls or laddus from the mixture.
